A Pakistani-American story with a public purpose.
Dr. Sajid Tarar was born in Mandi Bahauddin, Punjab, Pakistan. After coming to the United States, he established his professional and family life in the Baltimore–Washington region and became an American citizen in the 1990s. The experience of moving between cultures shaped a lasting belief: citizenship is not passive—it is strengthened through participation, responsibility and service.
His career developed across law, business, investment, public affairs and human services. Over time, those fields became connected by one principle: leadership should create opportunity, protect dignity and encourage communities to take an active role in their future.
A husband and father of four, Dr. Tarar’s public outlook is also rooted in family, stability and the institutions that allow communities to prosper across generations.
